Dear Mr Miller I appreciate very much the courtesy and kindness of your letter of May 18th All Father Markoe's West Point classmates were warmed by the honor paid him by the good people of Omaha Nebraska. A recent letter from him tells us how much he tribute moved him. In happy to hear that his recovery, after a short rest in the hospital, has strongly refreshed him. He is quite a man - one that evades the lives of all his many friends. Gratefully Charles P. Gross
