Creighton University Omaha 31, Nebraska Dear Father Markoe: I sincerely appreciate your note on the Christmas card and the enclosed letter from Michael Callanan. I wish we were worthy of all the good praise we receive for the very little that we've done. When we consider the job to be done even yet, we haven't scratched the surface. It's good old soldiers like you who give us all encouragement, and I hope and pray that the future will be much brighter. Keep us in your good prayers and remember us to your good compatriots out there until we can get together again.
