Abstract

Here is one of some 38 inexpensive Turkish editions of Aesop bought together. This book is extremely simple: from 14 through 284 there is a constant stream of fables without illustration. There is no T of C. Two things are unusual about this well-produced book. First, Evren Julide Koc offers from 1 to 13 an introduction to Aesop and fables. Secondly, the heavy paper covers that wrap around in front and back use Greek postage stamps as décor against a floral background. The stamps in question are FG, DLS, and "Zeus and the Serpent." This paperback is among the more recent publications in this group, and this copy is in very good condition.
