Abstract

Educate patients and students about the essential role of the A1C test in diabetes management with this portable, pocket-size teaching set. The model set is a great way to explain how the A1C test provides an overall picture of blood glucose management over the previous 3 months. The set includes one test tube that depicts a red blood cell with few glucose particles attached to represent a healthy A1C, and one test tube that depicts a red blood cell with excess glucose particles attached to represent a high A1C. Also features an instruction card with additional information about the A1C test and how a higher A1C could indicate diabetes or prediabetes. Comes with carrying case that measures 4-3/4" x 3" x 1-1/2".
