Abstract
The set includes sixteen pamphlets, five of which are fables. Each is 3¾ x 5½ in size, with fairly cheap paper. One holds the 32-page book in portrait fashion, with both pages exposed. The upper page contains a line or two of La Fontaine's text in a simple frame. The lower page has a picture to color. My favorite here in GA is the moment when the cicada finds herself strongly deprived. The picture shows an open refrigerator holding only an apple core and a fish skeleton! There is a little two-page puzzle near the end: A toi de trouver les 7 erreurs. Then, on the last page, there is a labyrinth through which the cicada can get to grain.
