Summary of 1998 LB 309

Abstract

FIRST PARAGRAPH(S)|Legislative Bill 309 made several important changes to the Nebraska Rules of the Road. For the sake of clarity, one can divide the changes into five categories.|For the first time in Nebraska history, the Legislature created felony crimes for fourth-offense driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test. Through sections 13 and 14 of LB 309, Nebraska Revised Statutes sections 60-6196 and 60-6197, the fourth offense of each crime was made a Class IV Felony.
