BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE
Starting in 1979, Bond has shared his time between the Council on Foreign Relations and his independent international political consulting. At the Council Dr. Bond was responsible for coordinating all activities related to Latin America. In his work as consultant he advised multinational corporations, public realtion firms, and non-profit organizations on political and economic trends in Latin America.
SUMMARY
He gave clear pictures of when the current debt crisis began in Central and South America and some hint of why. He showed his projections of how the problems would increase or decrease, depending on which policies the US and the borrowers adopt. Especially important to understand the connections between state finance and politics.
