FIRST PARAGRAPH(S)|In the case of State ex rel. Nebraska State Bar Association v. Michaelis, the Nebraska Supreme Court disbarred an attorney for his conduct during a political campaign for the office of county attorney. Michaelis, the respondent, was charged by the Nebraska State Bar Association, the relator, with various violations of the Code of Professional Responsibility. Generally, the respondent was charged with engaging in conduct which was fraudulent, prejudicial to the administration of justice, adverse to his fitness to practice law, and self-laudatory.
