Abstract
This book is particularly frustrating because it is not simply a bilingual book. Rather, there seem to be French sections in a book that is basically Hebrew. Those French sections have frequent reference to LaFontaine's fables. The T of C (1-10) is entirely in Hebrew. The first French comes on 43, which seems to be a T of C for the following pages. 46 refers to La Fontaine's wagoneer enmired. 51 refers to TH. 54 begins a series of references to "Don Quixote." 58 contains a reference to La Fontaine's "Heron." 66 contains a reference, in its later numbers, to La Fontaine. And so it continues throughout this book, not adorned with illustrations. La Fontaine continues to be cited up to 83, when the book begins a section devoted entirely to Hebrew. Strange!
