Abstract

This 24-page pamphlet offers one fable, several pieces of information, and a longer story "Clankyman" about a robot. The fable, "Tortoise and the baboon," I have seen before, specifically in "The Baboon and the Tortoise" (2015) from Rindle Books. This is a story like FS, where the turtle is first frustrated by being offered a meal in a tree by baboon. The tortoise responds by burning grass around his place and inviting baboon. Baboon's hands get muddied, and turtle tells him to come to the meal with clean hands. He must go back to clean his hands but then traverse the mud again. Turn-about is fair play. The information sections are about kangaroos, wasps, and whales. The cover shows turtle snug in bed after shaming baboon.
