Abstract

Jesus has returned to his Father. In today's gospel he tells his disciples that they will grieve, but their grief will become joy. As God tells Paul "Do not be afraid. Go on speaking for I am with you."||Do you know Christians who are truly joyful; who are full of joy, exuberant about their relationship with God? We all should be. As we come to a close on this wonderful liturgical season of Easter; as we anticipate our celebration of Pentecost we should be overjoyed. We should be shouting from the rooftops and dancing in the streets.||It is not easy. There are many who do not want to hear us. There are many who will try to silence us. But there are many who have proceeded us and we cannot be silenced.||Joy is eternal. Joy is the surest sign of the presence of God.||Go with joy to love and serve the Lord and each other. Alleluia, alleluia.
