Fifteen stories on 96 pages with various sized black-and-white illustrations by a variety of artists. The frontispiece, "In Committee," is signed by "Dixon." Several, like "The cow and the Dog" (18) are signed by H. Günther. Several others, like the insects' funeral (67), are signed by J. Flinzer. To judge from the first story, these are edifying tales with uplifting morals like "Handsome is that handsome does." The characters often include children and various animals.
