INTRODUCTION|Courts and lawyers have struggled to figure out trade secret law for over a century. It remains in disagreement whether trade secrets are creatures of tort, property, contract, or even criminal law. However, there is a general consensus that the misappropriation of trade secrets is wrong, and the law should punish those who do so.
