Abstract
My dear Mrs. Kaiser. Since receipt of your esteemed letter of December fourth, I have been in correspondence with His Excellency, the Archbishop of St. Louis, in order to acquaint myself with the work being carried on in the Archdiocese in favor of the Catholic colored population. From the detailed report furnished me by His Excellency, I am confident that, under the enlightened and prudent guidance of Archbishop Glennon, efforts are being systematically made to make proper provision for colored Catholics in the St. Louis area. You are, I am sure, aware of the many difficulties and problems which hamper even the best of good will in such circumstances, and I would suggest that you pray much and be patient, with the assurance that in time ecclesiastical authority will be able to reach a definite and altogether satisfactory solution. With sentiments of esteem and with every best wish I remain Sincerely yours in Christ, Archbishop of Laodicea Apostolic Delegate
