Abstract
INTRODUCTION|Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 marked the first stage of America's formal struggle against employment discrimination. Title VII molded the basic moral principle of equal treatment into a national policy to eliminate employment discrimination. The second stage comprised two seminal decisions by the United States Supreme Court which laid the evidentiary foundation for Title VII litigation.
