Abstract
This 126-page paperback is meant to help German school teachers handle the normally studied material of fable with fresh insight. Opening sections treat things like the word "fable," the history of the genre, fable's structure, and its effect. After a chapter on fable in the classroom, the book takes up sample fables and fable themes: LM; LS; UP; DLS; and GA. One chapter goes to "The Old Wolf." Another takes a moment to look at fable's moral. The final chapter deals with finding and creating, including a segment "Fabeln schrieben -- fur wen?" The author asks for handling of fable that neither exhausts itself in establishing a moral nor in analyzing a story's social-political weight. The title-page offers two sub-titles: "Didaktisches Konzept fuer eine variationsreiche Behandlung" and "Mit Unterrichtrsbeispielen fuer das 2.-10. Schuljahr."
