Holds the wine which becomes the Blood of Christ during the Mass.
The base of the chalice includes images of the crucifixion, the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Joseph, the Sacred Heart, a chalice and host, and an anchor (the latter three being symbols of charity, faith, and hope).
