Abstract
Here is a typical Russian book of the 1950's. It includes a colored frontispiece of Krylov and a number of black-and-white illustrations of historical figures in the course of the book. There are also a few typical black-and-white illustrations of Krylov's fables, for example facing 129. As a "collected works," the book contains several different kinds of literature created by Krylov. I would say that this is a strange and lucky find!
