Elmer Hardlannert Letters

Permanent URI for this collection

Elmer Hardlannert Graduated from Creighton University Dental College in 1919. This is a collection of letters he sent to his wife-to-be, Helen Andrews, who was living in Iowa. They both attended the Old Bellevue College for their undergraduate work. This collection gives an interesting view into Elmer’s life in Omaha and at Creighton during a hectic period of history with events including World War I, the Spanish Flu, and others. Elmer was completing his dental degree while working at a local auto garage before striking out on his own and opening his own dental practice to build a life for himself and Helen.
